Mr. Lopez is a member in good standing of many prestigious bar associations such as CAALA (Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles), CAOC (Consumer Attorneys of California), MABA (Mexican-American Bar Association), and AAJ (American Association of Justice). He is also a former board member of Peoples College of Law where he served as a member of the Faculty and Curriculum Committee and the Admissions Committee. His duties involved hiring faculty, developing curriculum, and evaluating student applicants for admissions.
Mr. Lopez came from humble beginnings in San Antonio, TX. He earned his B.A. from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, TX, where he studied Political Science and Philosophy. He attended South Texas College of Law, Houston, TX, and earned his J.D. from Peoples College of Law, Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Lopez’s older brother is a family law and personal injury attorney in Corpus Christi, TX. Mr. Lopez’s wife is a former high school science teacher and is now a practicing disability rights law attorney. Mr. Lopez’s little brother is following in the family footsteps to become an attorney and is currently a law student at Thurgood Marshal School of Law, in Houston, TX. Mr. Lopez’s sister-in-law attended Texas Tech University School of Law, and Mr. Lopez’s other sister-in-law is leaving the nursing field to become an attorney. Despite coming from humbled beginnings, Mr. Lopez and his family have become a family of attorneys and legal advocates.
